2020 - The Swiss Net Zero Target
In September 2020, Eawag, CER-ETH, and WSL jointly organized a workshop on the Swiss long-term emissions target. The goal of the workshop was to investigate how the commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2050 can be achieved in Switzerland with regards to economic, social, and political aspects, as well as identify possible research contributions, current research gaps, and potential synergies or a joint research agenda. Participants came from different universities, research institutions, and the government bringing in various perspectives and expertises of social sciences and policy-making.
2021 - Annual Workshop 2nd edition
The 2nd edition of our annual workshop took place on November 23rd 2021 in Zurich. About 30 participants from science and practice discussed the topics 'Transformations, Resilience, and Social Tipping Points'. We will announce more details in due time.
